Artist's Description

A favorite NYC motif of mine is those distinctive rooftop water towers whose form and detail can make the city's skylines so eye-engaging.

Often, those forms are complimented by such details as fire escapes, vintage architectural aspects, and the rough-hewn forms of old brick.

Happily, they were present in abundance in this view along Madison Avenue, just below E 31st Street. It was shot from my hotel room at The Roger on a June afternoon (before setting out on some photography at street level).
