...An Astoria Line Impression
This Astoria-bound W train of R46-type railcars has just climbed the ramp alongside the north side of the Queensboro Bridge, from the Long Island City end of the 60th Street Tunnel under the East River, from Midtown Manhattan. The lower-level platform serves Manhattan-bound N and W trains, which access the tunnel via the lower ramp, seen here between the level the W train is on and the pedestrian and bike path that crosses the bridge.
