Description
This Queens-bound J train on the New York City Subway system has just crossed the Williamsburg Bridge over the East River from Manhattan's Lower East Side.
It will remain above ground on elevated structures for most of its route through Brooklyn and Queens, only dipping under the street grid for its last two stops, at Sutphin Boulevard and Jamaica Center. Also using these tracks are the Z train (the express version of the J) and the M as far as Myrtle Av-Broadway, where it will diverge onto its own elevated right of way.
This train of R160 railcars will shortly enter a curve to line it up with the Marcy Avenue Station, its first stop in Brooklyn.
